Newfoundland and Labrador PNP invites 189 candidates on

Draw result
On 1 May 2026 the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program issued 189 invitations. IRIRCC confirmed the draw included candidates from the provincial stream and the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, but did not publish cut‑off scores or the split between streams. The draw follows the 15 April 2026 round, which invited 212 candidates.

Who is affected
The invitation pool covers international students with study permits, PGWP holders, work‑permit holders, Express Entry candidates and current permanent residents who meet the province’s criteria. For example, a PGWP holder in St. John’s with a CRS score of 450 could receive a nomination. A work‑permit holder employed under NOC 21230 (software engineer) is also eligible. Candidates who were not selected can remain in the pool for future draws.

What to do now
If you received an invitation, you have 60 days to submit a nomination application to the province and then a permanent‑residence application to IRCC. Gather the required documents, language test results, Educational Credential Assessment, proof of work experience, and any provincial‑specific forms, before the deadline. Candidates who did not receive an invitation should keep their Express Entry profile up to date, maintain valid work or study permits, and monitor the province’s website for the next round.
